THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED TO BE FUN & AFFORDABLE, WHILE CREATING A SAFE ATMOSPHERE, FOR THE NEW AND YOUNG RACERS AND IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A HIGH DOLLAR CAR DIVISION.

CAR ELIGIBILITY

AMERICAN MADE ONLY. 1961 TO CURRENT, MUST BE SEDAN TYPE, NO CONVERTIBLES. NO FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CARS, NO INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION. WHEEL BASE 108", UNI-BODIES MUST TIE FRONT AND REAR FRAME TOGETHER. CARS MUST REMAIN COMPLETELY STOCK. O.E.M. IS DEFINED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER. No rear engine vehicles.

BODY

BODIES AND OVERALL APPEARANCE MUST RETAIN ALL STOCK OEM DIMENSIONS AND ALL BODY MOLDINGS, GLASS, DOOR HANDLES, HEADLIGHT AND TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLIES MUST BE REMOVED. INTERIOR MUST BE GUTTED, HOOD MAY BE GUTTED, BUT MUST REMAIN ORIGINAL SIZE. NO INTERIOR COCK PIT ALLOWED. ALL HOLES MUST BE COVERED IN FIREWALL, FLOOR, AND TRUNK BULKHEAD. ALL DOORS MUST BE WELDED OR BOLTED CLOSED. INNER FENDERS MAY BE REMOVED. DRIVER MUST BE LOCATED IN STOCK OEM POSITION. FENDERS AND QUARTER PANELS MAY BE CUT FOR TIRES CLEARANCE. DOORS MAY BE GUTTED. ALL ROOF POST MUST NOT BE ALTERED. NO CUTTING OUT OF ROCKER PANELS, FRONT FIREWALL, FLOOR, ROOF, TRUNK FLOOR, AND LID, EXCEPT FOR ROLL CAGE CLEARANCE. HOOD SCOOPS OR BOX MAY BE A MAXIMUM OF 3" TALL ABOVE THE HOOD. HOOD AND TRUNK MAY BE COMPLETELY PINNED, OR USE STOCK HINGES, AND OPPOSITE SIDE MUST BE PINNED. SPOILER O.K. , "6 INCHES OF MATERIAL", ANY ANGLE, WIDTH OF TRUNK ONLY, NOT ADJUSTABLE, and no mirrors.

BUMPERS

BUMPERS MAY BE OEM OR CONSTRUCTED OF TUBING. "MUST REMAIN STOCK APPEARING". BUMPERS MAY NOT EXTEND OUT ANY WIDER THAN TIRES. MAY BE REINFORCED BEHIND BUMPERS ONLY, NO SHARP EDGES. AFTERMARKET PLASTIC NOSE AND TAIL PIECES ALLOWED, RECOMMENDED TO MATCH BODY.

ROLL CAGES

ALL CARS MUST HAVE COMPLETE SIX POINT ROLL CAGE, 3 DRIVER SIDE AND 2 PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BARS. MINIMUM 1.75" O.D. AND .095" WALL THICKNESS. FRONT BARS CAN ONLY EXTEND TO RADIATOR. 1" ROUND TUBING ALLOWED IN FRONT OF RADIATOR FOR SUPPORT, RADIATOR MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION. ROLL CAGE MUST BE WELDED TO FRAME, NO BOLTING CAGES TO FRAME EXCEPT ON UNI-BODY, WHICH IS MANDATORY.

SAFETY

WINDOW NETS ARE MANDATORY. WINDSHIELD MUST HAVE THREE VERTICAL SUPPORTS AT LEAST 1/4" THICK. MANDATORY 5 POINT SEAT BELTS, 2" WIDTH ON HARNESS, 3" WIDTH ON LAP BELTS, 1" SUB BELT AND QUICK RELEASE SETUP. MUST BE SECURELY FASTENED TO FRAME OR CAGE. ALL DRIVERS MUST WEAR AN APPROVED HELMET ANY TIME CAR IS IN MOTION ON TRACK. MANDATORY THAT ALL CARS HAVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER IN REACH OF DRIVER. RACING SEAT IS RECOMMENDED, "NO FIBERGLASS SEAT ALLOWED". FIREPROOF SUIT AND GLOVES ARE MANDATORY, SHOES ARE RECOMMENDED. FUEL CELL MUST BE LOCATED IN THE TRUNK COMPARTMENT WITH A FIREWALL BETWEEN THE DRIVER AND MUST HAVE TRUNK FLOOR CUT OUT FOR SPILT FUEL OR FUEL LEAK TO ESCAPE. MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED WITH A MINIMUM OF TWO 1" STEEL STRAPS AND MAXIMUM 16 GALLON CAPACITY. DRIVE SHAFT MUST BE PAINTED WHITE AND MUST BE LOOPED IN FRONT PART OF SHAFT. BATTERY IS NOT ALLOWED IN DRIVERS COMPARTMENT!! BATTERY MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED. KILL SWITCH REQUIRED WITHIN EASY REACH OF DRIVER AND MUST CLEARLY BE MARKED 'OFF' AND 'ON', AND MUST BE ACCESSIBLE FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR. CARBURETOR. MUST HAVE TWO (2) RETURN SPRINGS ON THROTTLE. ALL FUEL LINES MUST RUN OUTSIDE OF CAR. ALL WEIGHT MUST BE MOUNTED WITH TWO 1/2" BOLTS, OUTSIDE OF DRIVERS COMPARTMENT AND PAINTED WHITE WITH CAR #.

TIRES, WHEELS AND BRAKES

15 X 7" OR 15 X 8" STEEL WHEELS, AFTER MARKET O.K., MINIMUM 15 LBS. "WHEEL SPACERS O. K.". BEAD LOCK ON RIGHT REAR WHEEL ONLY! NO SCREWING TIRES TO WHEELS. NO GROOVING OR SIPPING ALLOWED. STOCK TREAD ONLY, NO MUD, SNOW, STUDDED, OR DIRECTIONAL TIRES ALLOWED. TIRES ARE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 70 SERIES, OR MAY RUN OPTIONAL AMERICAN RACER G-60 TIRE. BRAKES MUST REMAIN STOCK AND WORK ON ALL 4 WHEELS AT ALL TIMES. BRAKE PEDAL MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION. BOLT PATTERN MAY BE CHANGED. LARGER STUDS ALLOWED. NO BRAKE SHUT-OFF OR PRESSURE SENSITIVE DEVICES. MUST USE 1" LUG NUTS ON RIGHT SIDE. RECOMMEND BOTH SIDES.

TRANSMISSION

ALL TRANSMISSIONS ARE TO REMAIN STOCK O.E.M. NO PARTS ADDED, REMOVED, OR ALTERED. ALL STANDARD TRANSMISSIONS MUST HAVE AN O.E.M. CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATE, AND FLYWHEEL NO TRIPLE DISC, NO OVERDRIVES, NO SPECIAL ORDER TRANSMISSIONS, NO LOCK-UP CONVERTERS. STEEL FLYWHEELS ONLY, SINGLE DISC CLUTCH ONLY. ALL CARS MUST HAVE REVERSE GEAR IN WORKING ORDER. CAR MUST BE SELF STARTING AND MUST IDLE IN ALL GEARS. ON AUTOMATICS NO DIRECT DRIVES, COUPLERS, VALVED PUMPS, OR BLEEDER STYLE VALVE BODIES. 3,4,0R 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY 0.E.M. ONLY. ALL MANUAL TRANS. STEERING AND SUSPENSION

QUICK RELEASE STEERING WHEELS AND QUICK STEER IS ALLOWED, NO TILT STEERING. BUMP STEER CANNOT BE ADJUSTED, CENTER LINK, INNER TIE RODS, OUTER TIE RODS, OR SLEEVES CANNOT BE ALTERED, AND IDLER ARMS MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATION. POWER STEERING IS ALLOWED BUT MUST REMAIN AS ONE UNIT, RESERVOIR AND PUMP TOGETHER. CONTROL ARMS MUST REMAIN STOCK, IN STOCK LOCATION, CANNOT BE SWITCHED FROM SIDE TO SIDE, AND MOUNTS CANNOT BE ALTERED FOR ADDED CASTER OR CAMBER, NO DROP BALL JOINTS OR BALL JOINTS FROM OTHER MAKES. "A" FRAME MUST REMAIN UNALTERED, UPPER AND LOWER BUSHINGS MAY BE AFTERMARKET, NO WEIGHT JACKS ALLOWED. RACING SPRINGS O. K. ONE STEEL, NON-ADJUSTABLE UNALTERED SHOCK PER WHEEL, STOCK MOUNT. NO COIL OVER SHOCKS, AIR SHOCKS, REMOTE RECOVER SHOCKS, OR SCHRADER VALVES. NO COIL OVER ELIMINATORS, AND MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATION. RACING SHOCKS O.K. WITH A $10.00 CLAIMER PER SHOCK. REAR ENDS

REAR ENDS MUST BE STOCK OEM. STOCK TREAD WIDTH MUST BE MAINTAINED. REAR END SPIDER GEARS MUST BE WELDED OR A LOCKER INSTALLED. NO POSITIVE TRACK / LIMITED SLIP CARRIERS ALLOWED. NO ALTERATION TO REAR END HOUSING OR BRACKETS AT ALL. FORD REAR END IN A FORD, CHEVY IN A CHEVY, DODGE IN A DODGE. HUBS MAY BE DRILLED TO FIT ANY BOLT PATTERN.

ENGINE

A STOCK 350 CHEVY CAN REPLACED ANY OTHER CHEVY ENGINE. MAX 360 C.I.D. , AND ALL ENGINES MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATION, FRAMES AND CROSS MEMBERS MUST NOT BE ALTERED FOR ENGINE PLACEMENT, CRANKSHAFT MUST BE OEM STOCK FOR ENGINE USED. CHEVY MUST USE STOCK OEM CAST OR AFTER MARKET REPLACEMENT PISTONS WITH 4-VALVE RELIEF'S. STOCK OEM CONNECTING RODS MUST BE USED. NO MODIFICATIONS CAN BE MADE, AFTERMARKET ROD BOLTS MAY BE USED. CYLINDER HEADS MUST BE STOCK OEM CAST IRON HEADS ONLY. NO MILLING, NO HEAD STUDS, NO PORTING OR POLISHING, NO ACID DIPPING. STRAIGHT PLUG DESIGN HEADS ONLY. NO VORTEC HEADS OR FUELIE HEADS ALLOWED.
